Our dogs wait in expectation each morning for the walkers to arrive and come back well exercised and socialised. We highly recommend the service.
Having somewhat unsuccessfully experienced a couple of dog-walkers and an au pair, we were very impressed upon first meeting Dom whose professionalism and authority over our poodle, Tallulah was immediately apparent. Dom and occasionally, Luke have been walking Tallulah now for about a year. She has also boarded on occasion and during this time has developed into a much happier, contented and better behaved dog. I have witnessed her leaping with excitement when the doorbell rings for her walk, which is a comforting observation. Dom completely reliable; he is respectful, kind, empathetic and importantly, clearly a dog-lover.

Dom has been walking my labrador Max for over 2 years now and I would thoroughly recommend his dog walking services to anyone.
From the start it was obvious Dom loves being around dogs and Max certainly enjoys his afternoons out with the pack. Dom usually walks on
Richmond Park or Wimbledon Common, a different environment for Max to explore and one of the reasons why I chose Dom.
I always feel confident that Max is well cared for and Dom often sends photos of the dogs in action which are wonderful to receive.

Dom is always happy to walk Max at short notice and will go out of his way to help out with late walks or feeding.

After a random meeting in a pub in Balham, we have been using the services of Dom Makin (aka the Dogfather) and his crew for nearly two years and are so happy that we met him. We have to travel quite a bit and we're always happy to leave Herbie in his capable hands. Even when we are around we sometimes just ask Dom to take him out because we know how much he enjoys being out with him and the pack. It's fair to say that he is a much better behaved dog when he is with him!! We couldn't ask for a better dog walker/buddy for Herbie.

Having used the Dogfather, Dom and Co, for over 18 months now, they are definitely as apart of the family as Flora, our pointer, is. No matter the weather, no matter the traffic, they always appear on time and ready for action. What impresses us most is how happy our dog is to see them and how wonderful they are with her. Dom and Luke are definitely the leaders of the pack--they are respected, listened to, but more importantly completely adored. And if your dog has any special needs or problems, they are willing to work with and help you and your pet overcome them. They are really wonderful.
Conkers the Cocker Spaniel gets very excited when the Dogfather comes to the door. He knows he's going to get a proper walk in Wandsworth, Wimbledon or Richmond (his favourite). He also gets special treatment when he boards with Dom. I can go on holiday safe in the knowledge that he's being treated as one of the family.
Dom and the team have always been able to help out even at late notice. I recommend them without hesitation.

Dom has walked our extremely bouncy Boxer Boris since he was a puppy and from his first visit to meet us all we were assured that Boris was going to be in very capable hands. Dom and his team are reliable and flexible and you can tell that they genuinely care about the dogs walking experience and welfare, we often get left little notes or texts to let us know how the walk went and when occasionally we have needed extra help in the evenings they have been happy to help.
Boris LOVES his walks with Dom and eagerly awaits his arrival and is suitably exhausted when he is dropped home, and of course we love looking at the pictures and videos of what Boris has been up to on Facebook! We have a happy, healthy dog and a major part of that is down to Dom looking after him whilst we are at work...I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services to anyone.

Dom and his team have been walking Barley, my golden labrador for the past year and I am extremely pleased with the service that he provides. Dom really cares for Barley and will often send me a picture of her having fun on one of her lovely walks. Barley is always shattered when she comes home which is a great sign that she has had a really good run around. Dom has been walking Islay for several years now and she always loves going on walks with him. She is so excited when he arrives to collect her and never wants to leave him when he drops her off. She obviously has a really great time on her walks and is very well looked after and cared for indeed. She comes back exhausted but very content and happy. Dom is very reliable, trustworthy and helpful. He walks Islay on a regular weekly basis for us and also is brilliant at helping out on an ad hoc basis, taking Islay for days out, extra days at work or if the children are sick. Even better is his network of other dogwalkers who can help out if Dom is not available - all of whom are very reliable and take really good care of Islay as well.

I didn't need a dog walker and found Dom when I was looking for someone to board Jasper when we went away for a two week holiday in the US. He started walking Jasper to help him be familiar when the time came to stay with him.
Jasper loved walking with Dom and the other dogs so much that we have continued having dog walks that we don't really need! Although it's nice once a week not to walk in the dark winter mornings at 0615!
His stays with Dom are always great and we get photos and facebook contact across the globe. While Jasper was please to see us on our return he seemed sad to see Dom go after he had delivered him back to us thoughtfully, about an hour after our arrival home.
Dom's service is a real find and he will fit Jasper in at short notice for walking as well as offer a paw drying and old blankets on the sofa service after the muddy walk.

The highlight of our week is our walk with Dom and The Team. We really look forward to a romp across Richmond Park or Wimbledon Common as there are so many different smells and things to chase. We also love being in a big pack with other dogs, some of whom we have got to know quite well, as we chase each other and do a little hunting together. We are two fun loving and energetic terriers and we really need to be well exercised. The Dogfather walks are by far the best in London.
I have been using Dom to walk and board Ben, my black lab, for a couple of years. He is Ben's greatest mate and to say he looks forward to seeing Dom is an understatement. Dom is always flexible, accommodating and hugely valuable to my chaotic life. I would be lost without him.

Tibetan Terrier who is very friendly but slightly mischievous and an escapologist. Dom the Dogfather, as he is known, has an ability to bond with dogs and understand their characteristics. An example being when Toffee was younger, he knew not to chase him as Toffee would only run away, and the best way to deal with him was to ignore him and he would return.

Dom has a team of workers who are at hand to walk the dogs either morning or afternoon, he or one of his team come to our house when requested. We have entrusted Dom with our house key and with some house instructions. On every occasion all instructions have been followed and the house has has been left as requested. Dom or one of his team on average take Toffee out once a week mostly in the mornings. I know and have seen Toffee get very excited when he gets picked up, which means I can relax and know he is good hands. I know Toffee gets a good play with a few dogs and a good walk in Richmond Park or a reasonable sized park and he will come back tired. For us, we have the reassurance that Toffee has at least once a week a very big walk.

Dom also has an added offering, he takes the dogs in for the weekend or for longer if required. He fits around your requirements and picks up the dog whenever it suits. We have sent Toffee for many a weekend to Dom and this year one of his team looked after Toffee over Christmas. It meant we could have a relaxing week and not have to worry. As always Toffee came back smelling as a dog should and happy.

We highly recommend Dom and his team and will gladly speak to anyone who would like a reference.

Captain and Juno are my two energetic young spaniels and they adore Dom – he is genuinely dog mad. Dom is full of energy and takes them for full-on walks so they come back exhausted. In case we are missing our little darlings he keeps us entertained with pictures and videos of them romping around having the time of their lives. He is also very flexible and having him as a back-up means I can get on with my life without being constrained by the dogs. He is totally reliable and trustworthy, and we are extremely lucky to have him!
Every morning my greyhounds lie in wait in the hall for the Dog Father team to arrive – nothing else seems to matter to them and every slight noise outside is met with huge anticipation. They greet all of their walkers with such enthusiasm I often feel like the parent at the school gates who’s upset because their child runs off happily into the playground without a backward glance…..
We’ve never once been let down due to sickness or the weather or car problems etc and the hounds love every one of their walkers and get to socialise with a range of people and other dogs. Equally important is the peace of mind that comes with the texts and calls if there is even the slightest concern that one of the hounds is unwell or has injured themselves.
If the hounds are happy we’re happy and the enthusiasm with which they greet all of the walkers not to mention the tired, happy state they arrive home in is better than any testimonial I can write

Now that Haggis has joined Cato on the team its a race between them who can get to their walker first when they come to pick them up. Poor Caoimhe , Steve and Ashling get very close to being knocked down such is the excitement.
I cannot recommend the Dogfather and his team highly enough, I have two very happy dogs and peace of mind that they are out having fun with a totally trustworthy tea

Earl, a Patterdale terrier adores his walks with the Dogfather team. He returns with tales of play and adventure and subsides with delight into snoozy somnolent reminiscence. Joe, his regular mate, is really loving with Earl and has a lot of thoughtfulness for our cat, Bertie, as well. Respect for animals and their characters is a dominant trait with Dogfather folk and Earl is just so happy to have been taken up by such a fun crew! Thank you.

Like many Dog owners my dog means more to me than anything in the world but the care and attention he received (not to mention the exercise) was outstanding. They are utterly professional and ensure they understand you and your dogs needs from day one.
They have been walking Maisie now for 3 years and without fail she returns happy, exhausted and utterly contented . Meanwhile I have complete peace of mind that she is in safe hands.
They have never once let me down in 3 years, are flexible, helpful, accommodating and totally trustworthy . They have my house keys and are respectful and reliable when collecting and dropping off.
Dom has also arranged boarding for Maisie while we were away . I was enormously anxious about this but needn't have worried ! I was sent regular photos of her having lots of fun and she was returned to us an extremely happy dog !!
